Fuchsbau Bunker Museum The Fuchsbau Bunker is one of the few bunkers in Germany that was used in three different systems. However, as part of the GDR ‘s exten- sive military build-up, this site was given a new function. Between 1965 and 1990 , the historic bunker and a specially constructed new underground building took on the function of Central Command Post 14 ( ZGS - 14 ) of the NVA Air Forces Command/Air Defence. After German reunification, the German Armed Forces used the bunker for a short time, which ended in 1994 when the site was cleared out and the bunker closed. After the site was initially abandoned, the bunker has now been a listed building for several years and can be visited as part of guided tours.
